Ten Tuesday Thoughts

Random thoughts on this Tuesday -

  1. My Monday to do list did NOT get done.  Not even close.
  2. Today is my first day chicken cooping in the pouring down rain, and I'm not a fan - and it appears that neither are the chickens as they hide out in the dry coop.  Which makes cleaning poop out of the coop so much fun with flapping wings everywhere.
  3. Operation Keep the Critter out of the Corn took another step last night - we hung pie pans in the corners of the corn plot...I am SO over whatever is digging my baby corn stalks up! We'll see if this has any impact.
  4. I still have Easter eggs and spring décor put out in my house. Don't judge.  It's on my to do list.  See thought #1
  5. I am pretty excited that I shipped a package to Canada from my Etsy shop yesterday.  My first international sale.  You can visit my Etsy shop here.  Shop away!
  6. I am looking very much forward to fresh veggies from the garden.  We have planted squash, zucchini, cucumbers, patty pan squash, green beans, tomatoes and corn as well as chives, oregano and lettuce.  Fingers crossed for a good crop that doesn't all come while we are on vacation in July.
  7. I visited a dairy farm on Sunday - and I love milk - but I am still pondering the whole take the baby from the momma cow so we can have her milk thing - especially after seeing the baby cows in their little pens all alone for the first 2 months.  It really does seem sad.  And while this is a cute picture - they really were kinda nasty cows - I know the milk gets cleaned up, but it smelled awful in there and the flies - o.m.g. the flies - I'll stick to buying my milk in the store thank you very much.
  8. We leave for summer vacation a month from tomorrow.  Wasn't it just January?  Is this what happens when you get old?
  9. I have no idea what I am going to do to entertain the kids I watch for the whole day if this rain keeps up - they are bored in about 30 minutes and love screen time - but don't have unlimited access (which I fully support).  Have to break out the Nannie ingenuity today I guess.
  10. I am ahead of the game for supper tonight - already grilled my chicken and mashed my potatoes.  Just have to make a salad and put it on the table when I get home tonight.  Yay me!

Have a great Tuesday!  Be Strong and Courageous at whatever you do!
