Friday Favorites

Good Morning Everyone!  Happy Friday!  I am linking up for Friday Favorites with Andrea, Erika and Narci again this week, so be sure to check out their favorites of the week! I also joined up with Blog Lovin' this morning so I'll be adding that button to my sidebar today and I would love to have you follow me!  I am going to highlight some of my everyday favorite products that I love!  Everything from make up to foot cream and a little in between.

hope in a jar

I use this Philosophy face cream every day - alone and under my makeup and I love that it's light and has very little scent to it.  I'll be honest some days I feel like I need a little more "hope" to take away the dark circles, crow's feet or whatever else has crept up on my face in the overnight hours.  My sister gave me the container I have now, and I'd bet my last dollar it came from QVC, though it's available through other venues as well.

Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation

On the days that I do wear make up and I am a fan of mineral based foundation powders.  I started out with Bare Escentuals, but once I quit working full time, I started looking for more affordable options and found Maybelline.  I have been just as pleased with it overall, though I'm not super fond of the brush, as it seems quite coarse for foundation application.  I am pretty blessed to have clear skin the majority of the time and don't worry about covering too many blemishes or splotching, but I find this product fits my lifestyle pretty well and is less than $10 at Walmart or Target.

I stumbled upon this shampoo and conditioner set when searching for a sulfate free option to take care of my color treated hair.  Spending $100 to get my hair done and wash it right out in a week is not only costly, but bad for my hair.  My budget doesn't allow for fancy salon products, but my hairdresser said sulfate free is my best option for buying out of the regular store.  I have only used the shampoo and conditioner, but I love the scent and how clean my hair feels afterwards.  I usually shampoo twice (per my hairdresser's advice) and lightly condition.  Best part?  It's less than $6 at my local Walmart and Target per bottle - SCORE!

After I have clean hair I do tend to use the same styling products that I have for years.  I have thick straight hair that is not quite shoulder length, but I use a curling brush with my hairdryer to kind of smooth it out.  My favorite product for smooth hair is Thermafuse Straight Smoothing balm...you only need a little bit and a bottle lasts me a LONG time.  I finish it up with Suave Professionals Extra Hold in the silver and purple bottle (not like the one pictured) and my hair stays put without being stiff.

For my skin care I'm pretty laid back, but my feet are a whole different story.  I have chronically dry, cracked heels that are usually quite embarrassing.  My sister turned me on to this product and while it's a bit smelly, it does seem to work well as long as you use it routinely.  I found once I slacked back off of regular use, the cracks came back.  The smell is my biggest complaint, and even when I use different socks at night when I apply it, my sheets and comforter have a slight scent of the cream.  But,  summertime, flip flop wearin' weather is here, so I am trying to use it often.  It was in the "As Seen on TV' aisle at my local Walgreen's.

Heeltastic® Foot Cream - Ace Hardware

Last, but certainly NOT least is my favorite lotion EVER, Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Moisturizer.  I use it year round even when I haven't been in the sun - it's smells great, works great and turns burned skin tan in a day or two - what's not to love???  I buy a bottle or two at the end of the summer season to be sure I have enough to last me over the winter months.  You can pick it up about anywhere for less than $10.

I hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!  I am watching this precious girl graduate and she is my FAVORITE Lane in the whole wide world - God's got big plans for her!
